What Your Donation Supports

Many people can't access clinics to go for testing. At T!AN, we bring the testing to them. Your donation would support testing an entire village.

T!AN includes local villagers in the change process. Your donation would allow us to hold a training/rehearsal to create new plays and songs to increase knowledge on HIV in villages.

The Stronger Together! HIV Community Group will perform their own plays, songs, and dances, creating a village led effort to reduce HIV stigma. Your donation would support a local play & HIV testing.

We will travel to a new village where we utilize traditional forms of mass education: theatre, song, and dance, in a village to reduce HIV stigma and provide free in-village HIV testing.

T!AN will provide training to an entire community group of 20 members on HIV. At the end of a week they will receive Community HIV Expert Certification.

Over the course of a year you would be supporting a village to receive weekly support of ongoing HIV education, group facilitation, stigma reduction, HIV testing, and mobile medicine clinics.

This is​ Brandina Ibrahim.  When we first met her she was pregnant with twins and struggling to plan for a future as a single mother. She attended a free Together! ACT Now HIV educational village performance, then received our free in-village HIV testing. What she learned turned her life upside down. Not only was she HIV+, but due to this if she didn't give birth in the hospital her boys would most likely end up dying soon after birth in the village.

Our community of supporters not only provided her an education on HIV and provided her the ability to get tested to learn her HIV status, they also provided a future without HIV for her two beautiful children!

Our community stepped up further. At the same time she lost her job, floods took away her house and she was homeless. Our community funded a new house for her and her children to help her get back on her feet.
